SUSAN SELLERS & MICHAEL ROCK
July 22- 26
Rock and Sellers bring their perspective
and process from 2x4, a studio they co-founded in 1994. Comprised
of designers, writers, and art directors working in print, motion,
web, and environmental design, 2x4 practitioners focus exclusively
on issues of art, design, architecture and culture.
Cities and Signs
Despite the title this is NOT an environmental design workshop.
The basic tenets of contemporary design theory will be introduced,
using the city as both subject and metaphor. Class work, which will
cross several different media, will focus on issues of difference,
diagram, subjectivity, voice, indeterminancy, and the construction
of a reader.
